Kathryn is an investigative reporter and writer.
She is a reporter at UC Berkeley's nonprofit newsroom, The Investigative Reporting Program, where she uncovers issues impacting the child welfare system.
Her reporting has been published in ProPublica, The Los Angeles Times, KQED, and PBS FRONTLINE.
In 2021, she received a George Polk Award and an Edward R. Murrow Award for her reporting in the PBS documentary American Insurrection.
She holds a master's degree in journalism from Berkeley.
